Dress Code
It is the school's responsibility to provide an environment that is conducive to learning for all students. Students should not dress in a manner that distracts other learners or in any way which interrupts the learning process.
Uniforms:
All students are required to wear maroon polo style shirts and khaki bottoms daily. Students are to wear brown or khaki belts when wearing their uniform and white t-shirts only under their uniform shirt. On "Dress for a Dollar Day," students are to adhere to the student dress code below.Dress Code:
With this in mind, it is strongly recommended that students will attend school dressed in clean, neat, loosely fitting, and comfortable clothes. You are expected to adhere to the following:
- Belt buckles should be fastened.
- All students should have well groomed hair.
- No hats worn in the building by boys or girls.
- No mini dresses/skirts. Dresses and skirts must be knee length.
- No halter-tops.
- No low cut front and back dresses and blouses.
- No muscle shirts (sleeveless shirts, tank tops).
- No clothing with deeply cut necklines or armholes.
- Shirts with collars should be buttoned or zipped.
- Sunglasses should not be worn inside the building unless prescribed by a doctor and/or approved by the principal.
- Shirt tails should be worn inside of pants.
- Rollers should not be worn in the hair.
- Less than full-length pants of any type must be no more than two inches above the knee.
- All cutout jeans or other clothing must have underneath patches.
- All clothing that has belt loops must be worn with a belt.
- Clothing with suspenders must be worn properly.
- All pants and skirts must be worn at waist level.
- Clothing that bears logos must not advertise profanity, sex, obscene gestures, alcohol, tobacco, or any other illegal drug.
- Clothing must not bear gang symbols nor any other symbols or language that promotes violence.
- Clothing designed for swim wear, beach wear, or exercising should not be worn.
- Clothing designed with slits or splits in any area more than six inches above the knee should not be worn.
- Clothing that exposes the mid-section, shoulders or thighs should not be worn.
- "House-shoes" are not to be worn to school.
- "See Through" clothing is not to be worn to school.
- Personal grooming accessories (hair brushes, towels, and etc.) are prohibited.
- Young men are not allowed to wear earrings or braids.
- No student is allowed to wear tongue rings, brow rings, nose or lip rings because they distract other students during the learning process.
- The school will not be responsible for jewelry taken, stolen, or lost during school hours or during any school event.
