Welcome to the Indianola School District's website!  The completion of this website concludes an idea that shows what perseverance can accomplish, if all members collaborate and pool their talents and resources to accomplish  a goal. 

The Indianola School District's mission embraces St. Francis of Assisi's quote that notes, "Start by doing what's necessary; then do what's possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible."  Countless possibilities exist for the Indianola School District, and I have witnessed many of them and envision many more occurring.

The district's number one goal is to have every school in the district reach a Successful status.  Other possibilities include providing students the opportunities to bridge gaps in their learning through intensive interventions and tutorial/remediation programs.  Redefining this area will also equip teachers with the training needed to teach the new currricula and integrate technology in their instructional practices as well provide them with multiple ways to better relate to their diverse student populations.

The reward in reaching  "all" students becomes a closer reality, after I listened to a struggling reader share his compelling testimony about learning to read.  The spark in that student's eyes provides a glimpse of the "hope" that the district is committed to providing for all its students.  This passionate commitment to excellence, coupled with your unwavering support of the district's goals, will enable all our students to forge into the 21st century equipped with the skills to become the brilliant, talented, and innovative thinkers/leaders of the future.
